The Ravenhall Correctional Centre opened in late 2017. Located in Ravenhall in Melbourne’s West, the medium-security men’s prison provides world-class mental health and wellbeing services for prisoners. Services are provided by Forensicare.
Ballerrt Yeram-boo-ee Forensic Mental Health Service
Ballerrt Yeram-boo-ee (pronounced Balit Yerimboy) Forensic Mental Health Services (FMH) provides 75 dedicated forensic mental health beds, along with forensic mental health outpatient services for approximately 100 other prisoners at the Ravenhall Correctional Centre (RCC). The service is a Recovery-oriented forensic mental health service providing mental health treatment and care for mentally ill offenders in Victoria’s prison system.
