Community Operations

Our Community Operations provides a range of consultation and direct services for those in contact– or at risk of coming into contact- with the justice system. We also provide specialist assessment and treatment for people with a range of serious problem behaviours.

Most clients are referred from Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, Corrections Victoria, courts, the Adult Parole Board, Thomas Embling Hospital, other government agencies and private practitioners.

All programs and services are provided by mental health clinicians including psychiatrists and psychologists.

Barwon South West Regional team

The Barwon South West Regional team provides services across the Barwon and South West health care regions.

Visitor information

Regional teams

Our regional teams do not see consumers at their offices. Professional visitors should contact teams directly to organise a suitable meeting location.

Statewide Services

Our Statewide office is located at 505 Hoddle Street, Clifton Hill, Victoria, 3068.

 

Parking

One and two hour free parking can be found outside the shops near on Queens Pde.
Four hour free parking is also available behind McDonald’s on Dummett Crescent (unsigned).
Those coming by bike/motorcycle can park directly in front of our building.

Public Transport

Trams
Route 86- Stop 25 Tram route 86 (Bundoora – RMIT) runs directly from the city to Bundoora, passing Southern Cross Station, Smith St in Collingwood, and the Clifton Hill Interchange. Travel time from the city to Clifton Hill Interchange is approximately 30 minutes.

  • Buses
    Several Buses run via Clifton Hill Station and the Clifton Hill Interchange.
    246 – Elsternwick – La Trobe University via Clifton Hill, St Kilda Junction
    250 – Garden City – La Trobe University via City,
    251 – Garden City – Northland via City
    504 – Moonee Ponds – Clifton Hill via East Brunswick (Stops at Clifton Hill Railway Station)
    546 – Heidelberg – Melbourne University – Queen Victoria Market via Clifton Hill & Carlton (Stops at Clifton Hill Railway Station)

Trains
Clifton Hill Station is located a short walk down from CFMHS on Hoddle Street. Clifton Hill Station is serviced by the South Morang line (formerly known as the Epping line) and the Hurstbridge line.
