Colman O’Driscoll announced as new CEO

Following Dr Margaret Grigg’s decision to step down as Forensicare’s CEO in August 2023, our Board are pleased to announce the appointment of Colman O’Driscoll as our new Chief Executive Officer.

Colman has over 25 years’ experience working across healthcare including forensic mental health. He has held senior leadership roles within public health services, government, corporate, not-for-profit and private sectors including being an Adjunct Associate Professor with the University of NSW. Colman will join Forensicare from the position of Chief Executive Officer of St John of God Health Care.

Originally from Cork in Ireland, Colman trained as a psychiatric nurse at St Patrick’s Hospital Dublin, graduating from Trinity College, Dublin. He later completed a Master of Nursing (Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) at Western Sydney University.

We look forward to welcoming Colman to both the organisation and Victorian later in 2023.

Colman will begin his new role with Forensicare on Wednesday the 4th of October.

Interim CEO arrangement

As we will farewell Margaret on Friday the 11^th of August, the Board have appointed Chief Operating Officer Cayte Hoppner as Interim Chief Executive Officer.
