10th International Criminal Justice Conference
The 10th International Criminal Justice Conference will take place from Tuesday 22 November to Thursday 24 November at The Edge at Federation Square in Melbourne. Forensicare are proud to partner with Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO) and the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science at Swinburne University of Technology to present the conference.
The 2022 conference theme is ‘Global Uncertainty. Building Safer and Resilient Communities’. As communities agitate for social reform and disruption on social and health issues such as mental health, disability, climate change, costs of living, diversity and gender equity, the conference will explore these questions:
“How can we reduce the unnecessary incarceration of young people, and other vulnerable communities?”
“What are the opportunities for Justice reform that will build social cohesion, resilience and economic growth?”
“What unexplored opportunities for reform are inherent in First Nations paradigms of society, culture, traditions and knowledge?“
The conference will be divided into four streams:
- Disrupted Justice: Examples from Australia & Around the World
- Innovation in Preventing Incarceration
- Experiencing the Justice System
- Risk, Resilience & Recovery
The call for abstracts is now open. Submissions are due by 15 July 2022. To find out more about each stream and make a submission, click here. Successful submissions will be advised by 28 July 2022.
